RPP is not available for windows or linux systems, but it is one of the only real Full Floating point RAW processors. Not speaking for Yanko directly, but Yanko is almost certainly not using an Apple Mac. I have one of these by the way and it is with the B+RG LED, of course the size is small given full HD resolution, but the colors, the tonalities and the black levels are just astonishing once you get it calibrated! I must admit that I really love this display no matter that I have other excellent options. No, it is white LED, but I use external monitor anyways.

I am talking about a virtual machine too, a VMware Workstation. so keeping the virutal machine is not an issue at all, I run it in parallel, at the same time, w/ photoshop to process the output from RPP and I do not have issues w/ memory or anything on a low level notebook (dell xps w/ Core i7-2720QM and 8gb RAM, W7/64) 2GB is enough for one by one processing of 16mp raw files, batch might be a different story - I do not use RPP for batch processing naturally, so can't comment. we assume that raw files are kept outside of the virtual machine.

I was talking about virtual machine w/ OSX set to use just 2GB and hard drive in virtual machine might be just set to 40GB size (whatever minimum is necessary to install OSX), which in reality makes jst 5-6GB on a host machine. I use it with 8GB of ram for the MAC, I have set the disk space limit up to 200GB and the processor usage up to 8 cores. RPP is very good, but I have to keep a virtual machine with a MAC on it inside my Windows just for it.ĥ-6GB on your hard drive and RPP runs just fine w/ 16mp raw files in virtualized OSX w/ just 2GB ram for machine.
